Anthony MacDonald

Anthony MacDonald, Senior Civil Design Engineer

Tony joined Consolidated Engineers in August 2016 and brings experience from numerous large- and small-scale projects from conceptual design through construction. Project locations have varied across the state of Wyoming and have developed his knowledge and experience. As a resident of Gillette and Campbell County, Tony also enjoys his continued success with his local efforts at CEI and in the community.

Tony’s career has covered water system engineering design and analysis, sanitary sewer and septic system engineering design and analysis, storm water system engineering design and analysis including Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans and Phase II handling of storm water, Phase I environmental site assessments and environmental research, structural engineering analysis, roadway design, parking design, site design, grading design, considerable construction administration including observation, materials testing, documentation and closeout.  
Brian Shippy

Brian Shippy, Senior Structural Engineer

Brian joined the Consolidated Engineers team in 1997 and has over 22 years of experience in structural, civil, and aircraft engineering. His structural engineering experience includes: design of residential, commercial, institutional and industrial structures; driven pile, drilled pier, helical pier, rammed aggregate and shallow footing foundation systems; investigation and remediation of foundation movement; design and analysis of heavy structural slabs-on-grade; retaining wall design; load capacity analysis; fire damage investigation; specialty structure design; project cost estimation; and construction observation of structural projects.

Specific project experience includes structural and general arrangement designs for numerous coal mine facilities including new shop buildings, office complexes, warehouses, dust containment structures, conveyor structures, and truck and rail track scales.  
Dennis Stillman

Dennis Stillman, Corporate Secretary and Treasurer

Dennis has over 35 years of experience in civil engineering in private practice in the Gillette area. Since 1991, he has been a member of the Consolidated Engineers team. His civil design and construction administration experience has included: street rehabilitation; sanitary sewer collection (new design and rehabilitation); storm sewer design; roadway design; drainage channel design; site planning and development; subdivision planning; feasibility studies; water distribution system design; permit applications; code compliance's; materials specifications; surveying; and construction observation. Dennis specializes in urban civil engineering projects and coordinates the company's civil engineering project work.
Ed Scott

Ed Scott, Principal Engineer and Corporate President

Ed has over 46 years of experience in civil and structural engineering in the fields of industry, manufacturing and private practice. His design and project management experience includes structures and buildings for numerous and varied facilities; ROPS (Rollover Protective Structures) review; potable water systems; sewerage collection; street and road design; routing studies; ADA compliance; pavement management; foundation design; structural condition assessments, and drainage facilities.  

Ed’s specific project experience includes bridges, a variety of educational facilities, second-floor additions in existing buildings, truck dump dust control facilities, failed structure forensic analysis; expert testimony; and framing design.
Marshall Smith

Marshall Smith, Civil Design Engineer

Marshall joined the Consolidated Engineers staff in August 2015 after graduating from college where his education focused on Civil and Water Resources engineering.
Marshall’s first year of project experience with Consolidated Engineers has included: septic and leach field design; storm basin analysis and design; storm and sanitary pipe analysis and design; water system analysis and design; culvert analysis; and detention pond analysis. 
Phil Hohn

Phil Hohn, Rapid City Office Manager and Structural 
Project Engineer

Phil joined Consolidated Engineers in July 2013 after also previously being a member from 2005 - 2010. His structural experience on industrial, commercial, municipal, residential and mining projects has included: foundations incorporating driven pile, drilled pier, helical pier, and shallow footing foundation systems; heavy structural slabs-on-grade; retaining walls; structural wood designs; load capacity analysis; fire damage investigation; specialty structures; new shop buildings; bridge crane runways; office complexes; warehouses; dust containment structures; jib cranes; monorails; shop partition walls; stairway design; falsework for bridge construction.  

Prior to rejoining the Consolidated Engineers team, Phil's engineering experience also included three years as a project manager/engineer on structures projects for a general contractor in South Dakota and four summers as a highway engineering intern with the South Dakota Department of Transportation.
Travis Riedy

Travis Riedy, Senior Structural Design Engineer

Travis has been gaining experience in structural engineering since joining the Consolidated Engineers team in February 2007. Travis’ 9 years of structural experience on industrial and commercial projects has included: cantilevered retaining wall designs; foundation analysis and design, including spread footing, drilled pier, driven pile, and helical pier systems; jib crane analysis and design; monorail analysis and design; bridge crane runways analysis and design; warehouse addition framing and foundation design; shop partition wall design; structural steel designs, including tool box storage mezzanines and elevated platforms/walkways; structural aluminum designs, including mobile access ladder; structural wood designs; dust control containment structures; field observations of construction quality/problems; drag-line crane boom analysis and upgrades; stairway design; facility structural review; and load capacity analysis and design for various lifting devices and stands.
